Opening hours
Located on a 20 acre site on the banks of the Arkansas River, the Exploration Place is a family-friendly attraction with a lot to see. In addition to the mainstays, visitors can also check out the ‘Mindful’ exhibit, which features a family-friendly play area and a handful of other educational activities.
The aptly titled Kemper Creative Learning Studio is located in the Kemper Island Building, which is modeled after a picturesque island in the Arkansas River. The studio is an impressive feat of engineering with a capacity of 150 patrons, and is the home of some very cool interactive exhibits. The Kemper Creative Learning Studio is also home to some excellent live science shows.
In the spirit of fostering a healthy and safe environment for all ages, the Exploration Place has installed some very nice amenities, including family restrooms and a play area for younger kids. The museum is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, with extended hours on select days.
