The Splash Aqua Park features a series of inflatable runways, slides, ladders, and swings. It also features wiggle bridges, a trampoline, and a play area for younger children. The playground is open from 10 am to 8 pm.

Buffalo Park features an interactive water playground and several fountains. It’s located at 318-500 North Maize Road. This park is part of the City of Wichita Park & Rec property.

The new water playground includes limestone block seating, bubbling ground jets, and grass stem-shaped overhead sprayers. There are also restrooms and picnic tables. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This splash pad is Kansas prairie themed.

Buffalo Park also features a circular drop-off area. There are two shelters and additional parking space. The water playground is open Memorial Day weekend through October.

Restrooms

Located in Buffalo, New York, Buffalo Park owes a nod to the state of Kansas. This 3.2 acre site features an array of amenities and a hefty dose of silliness. The mainstay is home to a slew of athletic fields, a number of ponds, a water play area, a small zoo, and a plethora of food and beverage options to keep the kids happy. The biggest draw is the onsite cafe, where visitors can sip a cocktail and snack on the latest and greatest in American cuisine. The park itself is a symphony of opulence. One of the sexiest sights to behold is the eerily still pond where the sun peaks at all hours of the day and night.

The park has been a boon to the surrounding community, and the recent completion of its sister facility at the burgeoning Wichita Tech campus is just the latest in a series of successes. One of the biggest benefactors has been the city’s parks and rec department, which has enjoyed an upwards of 30 percent increase in funding for the past few years. A fantastic read!

Shelter
